This policy covers EduInsights
AI Idea Lab LLC publishes and operates EduInsights. This policy covers the website, accounts, Analyst Agent, downloads, sharing features, and agent access.
It does not cover third-party websites or services. Their own privacy notices govern their practices.
We collect information needed to provide the service
Account and profile information
We collect your email address and account identifiers. You may also provide your name and reason for using EduInsights.
Your requests and saved work
We collect questions, instructions, feedback, conversations, reports, charts, files, and other content you create or save.
Feedback you send
When you send product feedback, we collect your category, note, contact email, and current page.
We link it to your account when you are signed in.
We store a protected network fingerprint to prevent misuse. We do not store the raw network address with your note.
Sharing and communications
We collect recipient email addresses when you send invitations. We also keep delivery and sharing records.
Usage and security information
We collect service usage, model usage, timestamps, error details, and actions taken within your account.
These records show which dataset files and release packages you request, and when.
We may receive browser, device, network, and approximate location information from requests. Security systems may convert identifiers into protected fingerprints.
Public website visits
Vercel Web Analytics counts visits to five public pages without cookies.
Reports can include the page, referrer, time, approximate location, device type, browser, and operating system.
Vercel creates a request hash that resets daily.
We do not send account identifiers, questions, saved work, URL parameters, or fragments.
Authentication information
We use session information, login records, and protected versions of credentials. Plaintext API keys are shown once and are not stored.
Information comes from you and the services you use
We receive information directly from you when you create an account or use EduInsights.
We receive technical information from your browser, connected agent, and service providers.
Another user may provide your email address when sharing private work with you.
We use information to operate and protect EduInsights
We use personal information to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage your account.
- Answer your requests and keep your conversations available.
- Create, store, preview, download, and share your saved work.
- Measure usage and apply service limits.
- Understand visits to public pages and which sites refer people to them.
- Detect misuse, moderate content, and protect people and systems.
- Send account, invitation, and service messages.
- Review product feedback and respond to your note.
- Investigate errors and improve reliability.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for targeted advertising.
Our legal basis depends on why we use information
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Our contract with you when processing is needed to provide requested services.
- Legitimate interests in security, reliability, support, and preventing misuse.
- Your consent for optional processing when the law requires consent.
- Legal obligations that require us to keep, use, or disclose information.
AI services process your requests
EduInsights uses AI to understand questions, conduct research, moderate content, and prepare answers.
We send prompts, relevant conversation context, and tool results to providers supporting these functions.
Monitoring providers may receive the same content when production tracing is enabled. Authorized staff may review traces for reliability and support.
AI Idea Lab LLC does not use your personal information to train a general-purpose AI model.
Choose what you share. Do not include protected student records, health information, financial credentials, or other sensitive details.
You decide when saved work is shared
Private work stays limited to authorized accounts unless you change its sharing settings.
Anyone with an active public link may view or download the linked content. Recipients may keep copies after you disable the link.
Do not share personal information about another person without permission or another lawful basis.
We keep information only while it serves a defined need
Account information remains while your account is active. Conversations and saved work remain until you delete them or your account.
We keep blocked requests and related account details for up to 12 months.
This can include the request, email address, time, safety category, and a protected network fingerprint.
These records remain after conversation or account deletion so we can investigate misuse.
Recent usage totals may remain for 7 days after deletion to prevent allowance resets.
Download request records are usually kept for 90 days, including after account deletion.
Some sharing, audit, and cleanup records may also remain for 90 days.
We keep product feedback for up to 2 years.
Vercel discards each daily visitor hash after 24 hours.
Aggregate public website reports may remain available longer under our Vercel plan.
Deleting your account removes notes tied to your account or contact email.
You can ask us to delete visitor feedback tied to your email.
Account restrictions remain until we clear them.
We keep limited identity records so stale credentials cannot recreate a deleted account.
Backups, legal holds, fraud prevention, and provider systems may require longer retention. We remove or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
We use safeguards designed for the information we hold
Safeguards include encryption in transit, access controls, protected credentials, and limited service permissions.
No online service can guarantee complete security. Protect your account and report suspicious activity promptly.
You can access, correct, or delete your information
Account settings let you update profile information and delete your account. You can also delete conversations and saved work.
You can ask us to delete visitor feedback tied to your email.
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability.
You may withdraw consent for future processing when we rely on consent. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
We may verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where local law permits.
