Question

Compare Microsoft’s occupation-level AI applicability score with BLS projected growth, using current employment for bubble size. Explain why the three measures should remain separate.

Analyst Agent

Interpreters and Translators has the highest Microsoft AI applicability score in the displayed set at 0.492. The bubbles add a second distinction. High applicability can appear beside very different employment totals or growth rates.

Microsoft’s measure comes from U.S. Bing Copilot conversations between January and September 2024. It observes product-specific task assistance. It does not forecast automation, replacement, or labor demand.
